Canvas Stetching

A stretcher bar is a wooden frame used to hold canvas paintings. Canvas stretching requires special tools and skills to be able to get the painting taut so that it does not wrinkle.

We use stretcher pliers to pull the canvas firm and staple stainless steel staples into the edge of the painting and into the stretcher bar.

In order to receive the best stretching there needs to be at least two inches of excess canvas so our pliers can pull without damaging the painting.

Oil paintings that have been stretched typically go into a frame because the edges are unfinished.

Pricing for canvas stretching varies with the size of the canvas. We can accommodate any size canvas whether it is very small or extremely large.

Gallery Wrap

A gallery wrap differs from a regular canvas stretch in that the edges are finished.

We wrap the painting so that the entire edge is covered with painting and the staples are on the back side instead of the edge.

Needle Art

A lot of time, effort and precision is put into producing needle art. We take the same amount of care in stretching it so that every stitch is lined up and is straight.

We use only acid free materials so the needle art will be preserved for generations
