Athens Art and Frame
The nice thing about decorating with mirrors, is that you have the power to redirect light and make a room appear larger. If you are thinking about purchasing a mirror, consider these decorating tips.
  • If you want to make a hallway/stairway to appear wider - stagger mirrors on either side
  • If you want to make a hallway/stairway to appear longer - a mirror at the end doubles its length.
  • Make sure mirrors reflect only the things you want to see more of. You might want to place it across from a source of light, a favorite painting or a window.
  • Mirrors in foyers allow guests to check their appearance upon entering or leaving your house.
The nice thing about choosing a frame for a mirror is that you don't have to worry about the colors in the art or type of art; it is just about the room decor and frame.

You do however, have to be concerned about the width of frame, because mirrors are heavy and its important to choose a frame that is strong enough to support the mirror.

Beveled or no bevel

When a mirror is beveled the edge of the mirror is etched, giving the a nice dimensional detail which adds a formal touch.

We can custom order mirrors of any size, with or without bevels. Standard size ready-made mirrors are available with a 1-1/4" bevel at fantastic prices - see prices below:
